An interactive and colourful light inspired installation created especially for young children, followed by a free-flow Lightstream workshop for accompanied children aged 2-5 years.

Walk, crawl or shuffle through the Lightstream and explore a world of white lights, coloured lights, big lights and little lights.  In the Lightstream you will see lights that glow, lights that move and lights that leave echoes.  Even some noisy lights!

Children can interact with the installation: make lights wobble by clapping their hands, change the colour of lights by moving their bodies and command lights to turn on and off.

The installation will be active for 45 minutes and after a much-needed snack, there will be an informal workshop for children to further interact with the Lightstream.

A brilliant sensory playground for young children and their families.

It's a lovely sunny morning but our friend Shimmer doesn't want to come out and play.  He's waving at us from his bedroom window.  If Shimmer came out he'd have brilliant fun in the Lightstream.  There are big lights and tiny lights, lights that glow and lights that move.  Even some noisy lights!

Lightstream is the gentle and illuminating story of Shimmer's little adventure with unpredictable and sometimes mischevious lights.  There are 'playtime' moments for children to get involved in the performance and illuminate the Lightstream with their imagination.
