Apply now to take part in this summer's Somerzest Contemporary
Market, running from 5.30pm to 9pm on Friday 31st August
and 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday 1st Sept. We are looking
for an exciting range of artists, craft makers and food producers
to join us for this summer spectacular celebrating all things local
and handmade. We are also always looking for anybody interested in
demonstrating or holding a workshop at Somerzest to get in touch.

About Somerzest
Somerzest was set up in the summer of 2010 as a showcase of the
high quality and variety of craft and local food producers in
Somerset and nearby counties. Since then we have gone on to
create a regular Summer and Christmas market here at the Octagon
Theatre that highlights the value of quality products from
dedicated local producers.
The perfect place to find unique gifts and treats; there will be
something for everyone, with previous events filled with an
abundance of ceramics, textiles, jewellery, paper, wood and
glasswork as well as local produce from cupcakes to cheese, cider
and sausages.
During the day a range of workshops and demonstrations are held
to let visitors express their creative side and entertainment is
provided along side the hustle of the market, giving this family
event a fantastic atmosphere.
Admission to Somerzest is FREE so pop down this weekend and
you're sure to go home with something special, whether it's a
sneaky little treat, a great gift or a fantastic idea.
Exhibitors
We are inviting applications for exhibitors to take part in
Somerzest Contemporary Market Summer 2012. Application is open to
all artists, craft makers and food producers. To maintain the
quality and variety of products at the market entry is by a
selection process with the deadline for application Monday
30th April.
Any exhibitor interested in taking a workshop or providing a
demonstration of their skills, please contact the Somerzest
Administrator to discuss details and look at a possible stand
discount.
Two sizes of stall are available at £40 or £60. We are happy for
a maximum of two exhibitors to share a double space but will
require an application from both individuals. Hiring of tables
and/or electrical points is available at a small additional charge.
Exhibitors will be required to supply their own public liability
insurance.
