Security Updates for Online Booking
posted 30 Apr 2018
TLS (or Transport Layer Security) is the encryption protocol that makes browsing the web a secure experience. Because our Box Office provider, Spektrix, is committed to providing customers with a secure web experience they will be disabling payment support for older computers and internet browsers that don’t meet the most up-to-date TLS protocol. This is a standard procedure that all websites that handle payments will need to implement. Although you should be aware of the change, in general, no direct action will be required.
From the 30th April, the minimum software requirement for PCs will be Windows 7, and the minimum browser requirement will be Internet Explorer 9. This will affect customers online who will no longer be able to reach payment pages if they don’t meet the minimum TLS requirement.
If you experience any problems with online bookings please contact the Box Office on 01935 422884 or email us via firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
