As much a Christmas tradition as mince pies and holly wreaths, Handel’s Messiah is the musical essential of the festive season, with its inspirational text and an astounding collection of wonderful melodies.
Christopher Monks leads some of the UK’s finest period musicians of Armonico Consort and an all-star line-up of soloists, which includes Baroque soprano Elin Manahan Thomas (twice nominated for a Welsh BAFTA, and BBC Broadcaster), internationally renowned countertenor William Towers (who has recently toured with Bolshoi Opera), one of the finest British tenors, Nathan Vale (Royal Opera House and English National Opera) and bass Angus McPhee (The Sixteen).
What a fabulous way to get into the Christmas spirit.
