We are delighted to welcome Jennifer Pike with the Sinfonia Classica on Tuesday 11th April. Violinist Jennifer, along with Timothy Ridout on the Viola, will be performing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin & Viola, K.364 as part of a concert featuring works by Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
Jennifer Pike is renowned for her “dazzling interpretative and exemplary technique” (Classic FM) and she is widely considered to be one of the most exciting classical artists currently performing. She is in high demand all over the world as both a soloist and recitalist and we are excited toi welcome her to South Somerset for a special one-night-only performance.
Jennifer's big break came when she won the BBC Young Musician of the year in 2002; aged just 12 years she was the youngest-ever winner. However she took up playing the Violin aged just 5 and began attending the Chetham’s School of Music at the age of 8.
