Country West Fest: A Conversation with Hannah Trim

Meet Hannah Trim, one of the many spectacular UK country singer-songwriters joining us for Country West Fest his year. Her debut single “Where I’m Meant To Be” gained early support from BBC Introducing, while her follow-up “Guy Who Stole My Heart” was crowned Track of the Week on BBC Introducing Radio Solent. Since then, Hannah’s music has reached audiences worldwide, earning international airplay and growing recognition across the UK and beyond.

Having performed on iconic Broadway stages in Nashville, Hannah continues to carve out her place in today’s country scene. Her songwriting stays true to the genre’s roots, weaving heartfelt lyrics and memorable hooks with a fresh, modern edge that resonates with listeners on both sides of the Atlantic.

We asked her some quickfire questions to get to know her as an artist a bit better:

Who are your biggest musical influences?

I’ve always been inspired by strong storytelling artists. Shania Twain, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood to name a few.

When did your music career begin?

My Nan and Grandad bought me my first guitar for my 7th birthday after I was inspired watching my Grandad play in his Rock ’n’ Roll band. I started performing at my guitar teacher's music nights from 14 and then began playing local gigs. Over the past few years, I’ve really focused on developing my original music and building my career as an artist.

What can people expect from your set at Country West Fest?

I’ll be performing a mix of original songs and some crowd-favourite country covers.

What’s your favourite country song of all time?

That’s such a hard question! But if I had to choose, I’d say “The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert. The way it captures nostalgia and how our past shapes who we become really resonates with me. It’s timeless songwriting.

Any other information/facts you would like to share?

I’m currently in the process of recording new music, which I’m really excited to share later this year - so keep an eye out!
