Future Movements: Dance Graduate Development Day - an event created by graduates, for graduates.
Figuring out which steps to take next in your dance career can be daunting. Future Movements: Dance Graduate Development Day aims to help you build a bridge between education and the professional industry. From polishing up on your technique skills, to taking part in exciting workshops taught by inspiring artists. Networking with graduates and industry experts, as well as attending a series of professional talks on anything from arts management to funding applications.
This event is suitable for aspiring dance artists in the first 5-6 years of their career.
This event will run from 10am – 6pm. Lunch and refreshments are included.
On the day, you will have the option to take part in a series of workshops and panel discussions. You will have the choice of the following, depending on what suits your career aspirations.
Workshop 1: Dance Technique
Contemporary Dance Technique Class with Sean Monroe OR Jazz Technique Class with James Paul McAllister
Workshop 2: Dance Auditions
Contemporary Dance Audition Class with Sean Monroe OR Commercial Audition Class with James Paul McAllister
Workshop 3: Creative Class
Choreography Class with Sean Monroe OR Dance For Film with Dan Martin
Panel Discussion 1:
Dancing in the South West with Pavilion Dance South West & Take Art OR How To Apply for Funding? With Arts Council England & Abri Housing Group
Panel Discussion 2:
Freelance Artist: A Beginners Guide with Dan Martin & Ollie Robertson OR Arts Management, Programming & Seizing Opportunities with Adam Burgan & Katherine Hoskins
